Being a doula and serving pregnant women is an absolute privilege. I am pleased to offer emotional support, informational, physical support, and relaxation techniques to help guide you in your journey to parenthood.
I was inspired to become a doula when I reflected on my personal birth experience and how safe, informed, and supported I felt during pregnancy and labour. This resulted in the most beautiful and positive experience that I could have imagined. I wouldn't have changed a thing. I am committed to provide that support, guidance, calmness, and kindness to pregnant women and to show them how truly wonderful birth can be when fear is dispelled, pain managed and when the parents have a say in planning the birth they truly desire.
I have worked in health care in the UK and Australia for over 23 years and I understand the health system well and am a Certified Doula with the International Doula Institute. In my role in the health sector, my team were recently awarded an International award for Plain Language which recognises our efforts in translating complex health information into simple language which is easily understood by all. This skill serves me well as a doula.
I have also recently trained, and have experience as a VBAC doula.
When I'm not doula-ing I work for a health-promoting charity that aims to improve health and social wellbeing for vulnerable groups. I have two beautiful children and a gorgoeus grandson. Family is everything to me and I would be privileged to serve you and contribute to your unique and amazing journey to welcoming a new member to your family.
As a dedicated postpartum doula, I bring a unique perspective to my practice as a mother of two young children. My personal experience of navigating the beautiful chaos of motherhood has equipped me with invaluable insights and empathy to support new parents on their journey.
I provide holistic postpartum care tailored to meet the individual needs of each family. From assisting with newborn care and breastfeeding support to offering emotional guidance and household assistance, I am here to provide the nurturing care and expertise you deserve during this transformative time.
With a deep understanding of the joys and challenges that come with raising young children, I am passionate about empowering parents to embrace this precious stage with confidence and grace. My compassionate approach, combined with my professional training and personal experience, ensures that you receive the highest level of support and care.
Whether you are a first-time parent or expanding your family, I am here to walk alongside you on this incredible journey. Let's create a nurturing postpartum experience that celebrates the beauty of new beginnings and honors the sacred bond of family.
